The Dream That Came True

It was years and years joey wanted to play for a professionally football team. This was a dream for so many but for joey it was just more than a dream since he was 6 years old he dreamt about this. Joey was a fantastic footballer in his county teams but he wanted to go further till he reached his target. He previously was offered to play for the city team when he becomes 17 but he knew if he had accepted this offer he could not reach his dream. Joey took his football seriously on Saturdays and Sundays he got up at 5  am just to train he was just amazing how he could just carry on without no stops.
“I am blogging about my dreams and the people who helped make them true for the #AdviceThatMattered activity at BlogAdda in association with Stoodnt.”
Joey went to his county club peakers  fc they were second in 1st league he had training 4 times from 4;15-5:30 pm  he went as normal did miss out any days. So one day there was scouting coaches from all top professorial clubs such as Manchester united, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal this was a chance for Joey so they were playing a match Joey had already scored his hat trick as a top player. So the coaches were taking notes of the players and just watching them for place in the squads. It was end of the match Joey’s team had a free kick from 4o yards out of the goal so then Joey struck the was total silence.
SMASH!!! GOAL!!” this was huge goal for Joey it was a top class free kick. This surely had to make a place for Joey in a professionally squad it was the end of the match and the Manchester united  scouting coach came of and asked Joey some questions about the team The last question he asked Joey what professionally team would he like to play for Joey straight away answered Manchester united.
The coach said “I see you are a outstanding player for your age a real professional player, right  we would like to give you  a chance for a 8 week trial at our training ground as for  2 years youth team, we will send you the form with every bit of information on it”.
Joey said “yes of course it would be my honour to, i dreamt about this for years, thank you, thank you very much. So he went and told his family and his friends they were shocked but not too much because they know his talent of football. Joey waited for the information form, his mum said “post Joey” Joey sprinted down and the information form was there he rapidly opened it and he read all the information his training was in the 7th of august 2012 on the Manchester untied training ground it was 3 days till Joey starts his 8 week trial. So in the 3 days Joey was working his socks of totally he just didn’t want to stop at any time he wanted to be perfect before his trials.
It was the last day he could train hard as he can so he went to training and couldn’t stop his self from scoring it was unbelievable so that night Joey got prepared for the trials tomorrow. So Joey woke up and was very happy he could not stop thinking about this for even 1 second. So Joey was off with his mum driving the car and asking him
” Joey are you sure want to go today”
Joey replied “of course i want to go this was my dream his mum replied,
“ok if it was your dream”.
Joey could see it he was so excited he could even describe it, so Joey went to the administration office and showed them the letter and explained and they said “go through” Joey waved and said “thanks mum bye”
his mum replied “bye joey “.
Joey went and went in to the room where other boys were selected for this and listened what will be happening through these after all of the information everyone needed they were going to train now so everyone headed to the changing rooms. Joey wasn’t that nervous he was more like anxious so when everyone was changed they headed on to the training pitch they had a quick warm up and they were having a ability match. This match was to see what ability level was these player working at Joey knew that he was at a good level but he didn’t think he is going to be top player.
Joey found it hard to score but his pace and skills created one amazing 25 yard shot and smash, smack and goal. This was a time for Joey to show the coaches for how skilled and talented he is and how much he would love to be in the squad he wanted that place. So it was 6 trials gone and it was a pressured step for Joey at this crucial stage  Joey couldn’t not afford a single mistake.
Now Joey had a lot of support from his family but Joey had a lot of pressure to he was strong determined not to let go off his football,he was a bit worried that he might let go of all of it so he just thought it is a normal training stage but he has to play to his max. 7th trial assessing the player this was the first half of the test for the place in the squad Joey was strong and ready to fire up his skilful talented football. So Joey was in the match to his max, he knew this will pay something off, joey carried on to play his  match ref blew the whistle match ended and it was of the first part of assessing done. So Joey kept going like normal but focused on his football trial the last one the final were who made it in the squad.
The morning hovered and Joey’s alarm clock went off and it was 7 am ,joey had to get there at 9 am so he had time to get prepared for the big day. Now Joey was on his way to Manchester untied training ground Joey went trough with all the other players and got changed and on to the pitch were his final assessing part 2 trial 8 was going to take place. Joey was playing his extreme full skill and full pace SMASH!! GOALLLLLLLL!!
Joey had scored wow skilled on his own passed all defenders smacked the ball from 20 yards this surely had something, final whistle blew that was it 8 week trail over now for the place in the squad. So the players got changed and were out in the conference room this was the moment Joey has been waiting for all his life. The head coach silenced the crowd and explained it all.
The head coach said “If you do not get through today it is not a shame you all are top class professional players that’s why you all attended this 8 week trial. Now the names that are going to be officially in the squad are John Smith,Aaron Wayne, Leon Spade, Joey Lane and Brandon Conner all of you players are through officially to the Manchester united squad”
Everyone clapped. Joey couldn’t even say nothing this was the best thing in his life went he went back home he told everyone friends and family. This is was all of Joey’s  hard work, he never gave up he just carried on he was determined to let and his dream came true.

Dreams Do Come True

Dreams do come true. Everyone in their life has a dream or two or three. Finding the way to achieve your dreams, goals, and aspirations is an epic journey on its own. It takes discipline, determination, and self -exploration. This is the tale of the journey I am still currently on.

“I am blogging about my dreams and the people who helped make them true for the #AdviceThatMattered activity at BlogAdda in association with Stoodnt.”

As a child I always wanted to be in the spotlight. I was always the ham in family pictures, the one who had to excel past my brother, and be in the know of everything. When I was about twelve years old, I realized that entertaining people was what I was all about. Since I wasn’t any good at telling the jokes around the campfire or singing acappella, I thought about trying my dance skills. I liked dancing and I have always enjoyed music videos like Janet Jackon’s “Miss you much”, so I thought why not? What did I have to lose? With the support of my parents, particularly my mom, I went for the gusto.

Like any first experience we remember all the details of the event. I remember my first dance class at J in Jazz Dance Studio. I was under the instruction of Julie Pederson who was one of the young faces in my little town of Sierra Vista. I was thirteen and thought that the class was awesome. Now if you are under the impression that I was great the first time around you are wrong. I was the one goofy awkward kid who was there having fun. Julie thought that I would be gone by the end of three months because I couldn’t hack it. She was just glad that I was there having fun and being a good student. According to some experts, since I started after the age of ten I was not supposed to be any good. Just six months after starting, something somewhere happened to both me and my dance ability. I was put on the competition/performance team, and then I just kept excelling from there. Every year or two, I was put on a higher more difficult team. The last team that I was put on was created because my other teammates and myself were excelling past the other team levels. I found my niche with dancing and found my hidden talent. I just kept on surprising myself and my family and friends.

Competitions were the best part about being on the team. This was the part where I got the most competitive. Once on stage, I transformed from the girl, who back in school, was quiet and shy to the girl who was rocking, smiling, showing off, making others want to get up off their seats. I am a “crazy sexy tiger” with a sudden surge of absolute adrenaline rush throughout my body that I just gave it my all. A lot of people never knew that I was just starting on my path to becoming a dancer. The judges thought that the way I presented myself was great, which is such a compliment coming from them.

Attending dance conventions was a good eye opener to the dance world and the world of going professional. While attending Tremaine dance convention, I was dancing with some of the most talented and sought out choreographers in the country and world. The teachers of Tremaine include Desiree Robinson, Doug Caldwell, and Wade Robson. These three had the most influence on me. They all made me see that performing was what I loved doing. Julie had also shown me the whole time, but the fact that they are the best choreographers this great country has really let me see that my dream was attainable. Meeting them and getting to make the connections with them, and Joe Tremaine himself, was the best thing I could have done in starting a dance career. After talking to Joe Tremaine, he personally referred me to some dance agencies in Los Angeles, California. This is a dream come true for a lot of dancers.

Once I moved to Flagstaff, I decided I was going to go for the gold and call the dance agents. I was so nervous when I called and talked to them. I was worried. Would they like me? Will they represent me? What do I do or say when I talk to them? The moment came and I called the three studios in California. Once they found out that I got the information for their agencies from Joe Tremaine personally, they seemed to become very interested in me. Little ol’ me was suddenly getting the attention for being a dancer.

This is about where my tale ends. I have to call the studios again and submit tapes of my performances, a resume, and a headshot to them. Once this is completed, the agents will either pick me up or not. The anxiety I have about this is intense, but it feels great. My mom is helping me through all of this in every way she can. My dance instructor is also, as usual, helping in every way possible and will continue to do so even if I make it to the big time. I can hardly wait to see what is the next stop on my road to becoming a dancer.

If I could teach anyone anything it would be to follow your dreams and try to make them come true. They say it is better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all. I believe this is true for our dreams. It is better to have tried than to not have tried at all. I would much rather know that I gave it my all, than live with the “what ifs” in the back of my mind from not trying. Like a movie once said, ” you gotta keep on keepin’ on.” We are all shinning stars.
